Aesop Soho in London has been designed by the sextet at Ciguë, the Parisian studio with whom we created Aesop Le Marais and Aesop Merci in Paris.
Fastened to the stone walls of the Soho space, enamelled steel shelves display Aesop's range.
While use of enamel – a material borne of a highly technical and sophisticated process – is an Aesop first, it was extoled by the pharaohs of Egypt, kings of Persia and Chinese imperial dynasties for its aesthetic qualities and longevity; an historical testimonial we felt compelled to heed.
The space Soho occupies today was transformed from farmland to serve as a royal park at the command of Henry VIII. Its regal stature did not extend to the twentieth century, however, when Soho was best known by its debaucherous red lights.
We are glad for its royal-come-sordid-come-colourfully bohemian past, as the result is a deeply diverse borough that today reconciles its history's contradictory energies.
Upon your visit, trained consultants will offer personal assessments of your skin's needs, prescribe season-appropriate products and samples, and perhaps suggest that you visit Fernandez and Wells to infuse your own energies with Soho's finest coffee.
